This family-run hotel and restaurant is tucked away in a residential area but is still within easy distance of Leeds, Bradford, Bronte Country & the Yorkshire Dales. We are renowned for our service, friendliness, excellent cuisine and hospitality.
This small boutique hotel has an excellent reputation for its award winning AA Rosette restaurant which offers good value, fresh produce on its' Menus. At the hotel you'll find comfortable bedrooms , a terraced garden, and restful views of the surrounding countryside.
A former mill owners house, this Victorian stone building is just a couple of minutes from the A650 main road and the busy heart of West Yorkshire.
The Owners
The hotel has been owned by Richard Stoyle & Margaret Stoyle for the last four years. Richard & Margaret have over 35 years experience in the hotel business. Having run hotels in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Newcastle upon Tyne, Maidstone, London and Leeds. They are assisted in the day to day running of the hotel by their daughters Rachel & Laura.
The Building
The house was built in 1875 for mill owner Aked. His initials EA, are carved on a gable. The house was altered and extended through the twentieth century as different owners made their mark. One of them set up an artist's studio in the upper turret, now room 9.
The house was rented out in the 1950s and among the tenants was the American Consul in Bradford. In the 1960s the house became a Prep School. By the early 1980s the house was operating as the Hall Bank Hotel. In 1994 the hotel's name changed to its present one.
